Review of 2 Internet Service Providers

In short, stay away from these two internet service providers.

  • Comcast Xfinity
  • Metronet

Comcast Xfinity

I stayed with Comcast for a few years and kept paying on time to avoid dealing with its dreadful customer service. Eventually, I decided to cancel its internet service despite my fear after hearing stories about its notorious service rep. Unsurprisingly, they made it very difficult to cancel it. I had to talk to a real person over the phone, instead of the easy way, like signing up for the service online.

Over the phone, the service rep asked unnecessary questions and wasted more than 10 minutes of my time by babbling on and on about all the services Comcast can sell. I should have hung up, but helplessly I waited until the cancelation was confirmed.

Metronet

Its sales reps constantly solicit door-to-door and mail sales ads to potential customers. One of those reps annoyingly rang my door bell twice on different days.

In addition, its technicians cut my underground internet cable from another provider (most likely on purpose), when installing their cables under the shared lawn area. There was no internet for days. I had to call the other internet company to fix it.

Unfortunately for now, I have don't have any good internet company to recommend.
